Arrests
A Toby Terrace man, 20, was charged with domestic violence. He is accused of pushing a woman who is 9 months pregnant, causing her to fall on her stomach.
A Laffer Avenue man, 30, was charged with having a weapon illegally, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and failing to stop after a crash. He is accused of leaving the scene of a crash. Arresting officers reported finding a loaded pistol, a large knife and ammunition in the vehicle that he had been driving. 
A White Avenue man, 19, was charged with robbery and burglary, in connection with a burglary at 869 Dover Ave. and a robbery in the 300 block of Fernwood Drive.
A Zahn Drive man, 33, was charged with felonious assault. He is accused of putting on weight-lifting gloves and repeatedly punching and throttling someone, causing serious jaw injuries.
An 18-year-old Wildwood Avenue man and an 18-year-old East Waterford Court man were charged with the burglary of a residence in the 800 block of Grace Avenue.
An East Iris Avenue woman, 24, was charged with theft. She is accused of taking $3,140 from the cash register of the McDonald’s restaurant, where she worked.
A Greenwood Avenue man, 18, was charged with receiving stolen property and misrepresenting his identity. Police said he was arrested in a vehicle reported stolen.
An Andrus Street man, 24, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property. Reports said he was stopped at Cole and Atwood avenues and an officer found he had a stolen gun.
 A Bisson Avenue man, 20, was charged with willfully fleeing police, vandalism, obstructing official business, drug abuse and reckless operation. Police said he led officers on a high-speed chase. He was arrested after a foot chase near North Hawkins Avenue and Alton Drive, where he left his vehicle. Officers reported finding drugs inside the vehicle.
A 62-year-old man, of Park Avenue, Ravenna, was charged with robbery. Police said the man and a woman accomplice were photographed entering a home through a bedroom window and stealing a shotgun.
A 10th Street Southwest man, 18, was charged with aggravated robbery. Police said he took $5 from someone at gunpoint.
An Ira Avenue man, 22, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Officers investigating reports of shots fired stopped the man, who matched the description of the shooter. He told officers he had a gun in his pocket, but denied shooting it.
Four men, a 25-year-old of Triplett Boulevard, a 21-year-old of Roswell Street, a 22-year-old of Bloomfield Avenue and a 22-year-old of Eastland Avenue, were charged with aggravated burglary and misrepresenting their identities. The men are accused of breaking someone’s window, unlocking the front door and assaulting the resident.
A Spicer Street man, 19, was charged with aggravated robbery. Police said he was photographed by a video surveillance camera robbing the Euro Gyro chuck wagon at gunpoint.
A North Arlington Street man, 46, was charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools. Officers reported arresting him while he was stealing copper pipes from a basement in the 100 block of North Arlington Street. 
 A Wedgewood Drive woman, 45, was charged with burglary. Police said the woman was doing lawn work for a resident who left the door open so she could use the bathroom. She is accused of entering the home and taking cash and jewelry.
Barberton
Arrests
A 16-year-old Barberton High School girl was charged Oct. 5 with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Police said the girl refused to turn over a phone that contained a video rumored to show a fight between the girl and another student. The girl refused to go to the principal’s office, fought with police and staff and caused a minor injury to a staff member, reports said.
A 52-year-old man was charged Oct. 4 with domestic violence. He is accused of calling and threatening to harm his 83-year-old mother.
Burglary
An apartment in the 100 block of Fifth Street East was broken into Oct. 4. A checkbook was reported taken.
Theft
Several vehicles in the city were broken into and items taken Oct. 4.
Breaking and entering
A garage in the 300 block of Newell Street was broken into Oct. 5. Items, including compact discs, were taken.
Bath Township
Theft
A loss prevention agent for Acme Fresh Market, 3979 Medina Road, reported that on Sept. 28, someone “quick changed” two cashiers, making off with nearly $1,000. Police are examining surveillance video of the person.
Copley Township
Arrest
A 47-year-old Akron man was charged Sept. 20 with tampering with evidence and possession of drugs. He is accused of stealing a rock of crack cocaine and $20 in buy money while working with the Summit County Drug Unit on an investigation. Officers reported finding the cash and drugs in his shoe.
Assault
A woman reported to police Sept. 20 that her former boyfriend stabbed her in the stomach with a knife. Police reported the woman had a small tear in her clothing and a small scratch on her stomach. She was transported to a local emergency room, where she was treated.
Breaking and entering
A business in the 1100 block of Jacoby Road was broken into between Sept. 23 and 24. A computer and gift cards, valued at a total of $2,000, were taken.
Theft
A video game system, valued at $375, was reported taken from a home in the 1300 block of Aberth Drive between Sept. 10 and 15.
Coventry Township
Arrests
A Chaffin Road man, 28, was booked at the Summit County Jail for domestic violence Sept. 27, accused of pushing his sister against a wall and striking her in the face.
A Derbydale Road man, 46, was ordered to appear in Barberton Municipal Court, charged with menacing. He is accused of making threats of violence toward several family members in the presence of a Summit sheriff’s deputy.
Misuse of credit cards
A South Turkeyfoot Road man said his bank account number was used without authorization to withdraw $1,032.
Cuyahoga Falls
Arrest
An Akron man, 24, of Hammel Street, and a Uniontown man, 21, of East Turkeyfoot Road, were each charged with two counts of receiving stolen property Sept. 24 during a traffic stop at the intersection of Front Street and Englewood Avenue. Reports said the two were stopped in a vehicle that was reported stolen and police reported finding they possessed two GPS units and a laptop computer reported stolen from Tallmadge and a J.C. Penney’s credit card reported stolen from Munroe Falls.
An Akron man, 20, of North Main Street, was charged with intimidation, domestic violence and criminal damaging Sept. 28 in the 2400 block of Oakwood Drive. Reports said the man punched the driver’s side window of a car carrying the mother of his child. He also is accused of leaving threatening messages on her phone.
Theft
The owner of Crystal Dental Lab in the 400 block of Chestnut Boulevard reported Sept. 26 that someone stole $15,000 worth of gold from the building.
A trailer, valued at $10,000, was reported stolen Oct. 1 from Rita’s ice cream shop’s parking lot in the 2300 block of State Road.
A diamond ring and two gold pieces, valued at $10,500, were reported stolen Sept. 27 from a home in the 2800 block of Revere Drive.
A red 1996 Dodge Dakota truck was reported stolen Sept. 27 from the 1200 block of Gaylan Drive.

Misuse of credit card
A Lenox Village Drive man reported Oct. 3 someone used his bank credit card to open an account with an online merchant and order goods to be shipped to an address in Dayton. The man was able to cancel the order.
Fraud
A Bunker Drive woman lost more than $11,000 in an apparent “grandparent scam” between Sept. 21 and 25. The woman told police she received a call from someone impersonating her grandson, who said he was vacationing in Mexico. Later, she received a call to inform her that her grandson had been arrested for drunken driving, and asking her to send money. She received similar calls over the next few days, and sent money each time. She became suspicious and contacted her family and was told her grandson was at home.
Theft
A bronze vase was reported stolen from a mausoleum in the 600 block of West Market Street between May 30 and Aug. 30. It was reported to police Sept. 30.

Domestic violence
A warrant was issued for a Nine Iron Drive woman’s boyfriend, 24. He is accused of grabbing her and assaulting her during an argument Sept. 23.
Burglary
Two hand guns, a video game system, Wii console and other items, valued at $2,050, were reported stolen Sept. 28 from an East Turkeyfoot Lake Road home.

Arrests
A 26-year-old Akron woman was charged Oct. 2 with domestic violence and resisting arrest. She is accused of assaulting her boyfriend, who had picked her up at a Wadsworth bar to drive her home. The woman was charged after a truck driver reported seeing a woman assaulting a man while he was driving.
A 30-year-old Uniontown man was charged Oct. 1 with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering children and possession of marijuana. The man was stopped driving by police on Interstate 76, eastbound at East Avenue, for failing to drive within his lane. Police reported finding marijuana and a scale in the vehicle.
Burglary
A Wadsworth Road woman reported Oct. 4 someone broke into her home and threw food on the kitchen floor and counter.
Harassment
A Ruth Drive woman reported Oct. 3 someone called her home and identified himself as a Food and Drug Administration officer. The caller left a message on the woman’s voice mail that she bought an illegal drug from out of the country, and was going to be fined $4,500. The caller said he would call again to tell her where to send the money.
Theft
A 1997 Chevy pickup was reported taken from the 1200 block of Norton Avenue between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2.
Springfield Township
Arrest
A Westview Drive man, 41, was jailed for domestic violence Sept. 28, accused of slapping his daughter during an argument.
Passing bad checks
A warrant was issued Sept. 27 for a Frenchville, Pa., woman, 40. She is accusing of giving Mash Oil on South Arlington Road a bad check for $129.61 on July 29.
Thefts
An Akron man, 34, of Crosby Street, was being sought by police on a warrant charging him with theft and criminal damaging and endangering. The charges stem from the reported theft of a framing nailer and hammer drill, valued at $728, from the Home Depot on South Arlington Road on Sept. 24.
A Hayne Road resident told police Sept. 25 that two diamond rings, valued at $3,000, had been taken from her jewelry box.

A Colony Park Drive man, 19, was charged with felony fleeing and eluding police and driving with a suspended license Sept. 27. The man is accused of fleeing from police after they attempted to pull him over on Colony Park Drive and Eastwood Avenue. Reports said he accelerated from police, through a stop sign and struck another vehicle.
An Akron man, 34, of East Archwood Ave., was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and possessing drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments Oct. 1 during a traffic stop at West Avenue and North Thomas Road. Reports said the man possessed one-half gram of methamphetamine in seven baggies, four morphine pills, two burnt spoons and three lithium batteries.
A Jefferson man, 43, of Doyle Road, was charged with domestic violence Sept. 26 in the 300 block of South Avenue.
An Akron man, 21, of East Wilbeth Road, was charged with domestic violence and criminal trespass Oct. 23. The man is accused of punching his cousin in her eye during an argument.
Theft
A 1992 Saturn was reported stolen Oct. 1 from a driveway in the 200 block of Barnes Drive.

Arrest
A 45-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were charged Oct. 1 with burglary. They are accused of taking drugs from a home in the 500 block of Birch Hill Drive.

Arrests
A 53-year-old woman was arrested Oct. 3 in the 400 block of Main Street on a felony warrant from the Medina County sheriff.
A 40-year-old woman was charged Oct. 2 with domestic violence and threatening domestic violence.
Breaking and entering
An ATM was reported stolen from a business in the 700 block of Broad Street during a break-in Oct. 3.
Criminal damaging
The rear windows of three vehicles were shot out overnight Oct. 3 near Oakwood Avenue and Third Street.

Arrest
A Warren woman, 50, of Paige Avenue Northeast, was charged with assault and disorderly conduct Sept. 30 in the 200 block of Harris Street.
Ravenna
Arrests
A West Spruce Street man, 19, was charged with three counts of receiving stolen property Oct. 1 during a traffic stop. He is accused of possessing several items stolen from various car break-ins throughout the area. Reports said officers found several GPS units, radar detectors, an auto diagnostic tool and other electronics inside the man’s backpack.
An East Main Street man, 48, was charged with assault Sept. 23. He is accused of pushing a pregnant woman to the ground and kicking her in the parking lot of the Green Acres Apartment complex on Main Street.

Arrest
Two South Canal Street residents were booked at the Stark County Jail on Sept. 26 following a domestic disturbance at the home. A 37-year-old woman was charged with assault. An 18-year-old man was charged with vandalism involving a police cruiser and obstruction of justice.
Jackson Township
Arrest
Domestic violence charges were lodged against a 20th Street Northwest couple Sept. 26. The woman, 28, is accused of punching her boyfriend in the face several times. The man, 34, is accused of grabbing her by the throat and pinning her between a dresser and bed.
North Canton
Arrest
A Canal Fulton man, 22, of Towpath Avenue was jailed Sept. 19 on a burglary charge involving a July 8 break-in.
Thefts
A School Avenue Northeast resident said Sept. 27 that her identity and credit card were used to charge $818.56 for tickets to the Sept. 25 Cleveland Browns football game.

Arrests
An Oakwood Middle School boy, 12, of Ram Circle Northeast, was ordered to appear in Stark County Family Court and released to a parent. The boy is accused of kicking and head-butting the school principal Sept. 27.
A Canton man, 33, of Third Street Northeast, was jailed Sept. 27 for domestic violence, accused of punching his wife repeatedly in the face and head during an incident at a Broadmoor Circle Northwest location.

A Cutler Real Estate employee reported Sept. 21 that $1,500 worth of copper plumbing was stolen from a vacant Harrison Avenue Northwest home owned by the agency.

Burglary
Homes of three Mogadore Road neighbors and a fourth on Marquette Street were burglarized between Sept. 22 and 27. Jewelry valued at $1,500 was reported stolen from one Mogadore Road house, while nothing was reported taken at a neighbor’s and $278 worth of jewelry and medications were missing from the third home. Cash and two iPods, valued at $725, were reported taken from the Marquette home.

A 30-year-old Chippewa Township woman reported Oct. 2 that her boyfriend struck her at their Oak Grove Drive home. The 29-year-old man was arrested on charges of domestic violence, obstructing official business, assault and possession of controlled substances.
A 32-year-old Seneca Falls, N.Y., man was arrested Oct. 2 on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after a woman accused him of breaking into her home and being intoxicated in the living room, in the 4600 block of Westwood Drive, East Union Township.
A 30-year-old Sugar Creek Township man was arrested Oct. 2 on charges of disrupting public service and domestic violence after his wife accused him of breaking two phones as she tried to call 911 for help.

A fuel pump and fuel lines valued at $850 were reported taken Oct. 4 from a truck in the 40 block of Front Street, Burbank.
A 2011 Polaris Ranger valued at $12,000 was reported stolen Sept. 30 from a shed in the 10300 block of Snoddy Road, Clinton Township.

Two semi-automatic pistols valued at $1,000 were reported taken Sept. 30 from a residence in the 600 block of North Buckeye Street.
Robbery
A woman in a hooded sweatshirt passed a note to a teller Oct. 3 demanding money at Apple Creek Bank, 155 S. Market St. The woman fled with $2,500 in cash.
Theft
A television and a laptop computer valued at $900 were reported taken Oct. 3 from a home in the 200 block of Spring Street.
